What to Expect

What to Expect

Sunday Bible Class

We have Bible classes for all ages beginning at 9:30 each Sunday morning.  You can expect to be greeted warmly as you arrive and directed to where the classes for parents and kids/teens are located.  Our Bible classes focus on age-appropriate lessons from the truth of the Bible taught in a way that connects with today’s culture in a very relevant way.  The Bible classes last from 9:30-10:15.

Sunday Morning Worship

At 10:15 all classes transition to our time of worship which begins at 10:30 and lasts until 11:30-11:40.  We sing songs of praise to the Lord, both older songs and contemporary ones.  We have several prayers offered to the Lord throughout our worship time.  We have a time of focusing on Jesus’ death and the salvation purchased for us each week as we take the Lord’s supper together.  Individual self-contained communion elements can be picked up on back tables as you enter our auditorium.

Offering

We take up an offering to support the many teaching, mission, benevolent, youth, and other ministries of this church.  We do not expect guests to contribute, we are just glad you are here!

Message from the Word

Our preaching minister will deliver a timely message from God’s word, typically using PowerPoint and sometimes short videos, and relate how the ancient message applies to all of us today.  At the end of the minister’s message, we sing an invitation song to give the opportunity for people to respond to God for prayer or to commit their life to Jesus in Baptism or any other needs they may have.  We conclude with brief announcements and prayer.

Sunday Evening Worship

We meet again on Sunday evenings at 5:00 for a time of worship and a discussion and application led by our preaching minister that follows up on the morning message.  This allows all to give input and ask questions about what was studied in the morning and allows for further life applications.  Our ladies also have a Bible class at this time in a separate room.

Wednesday Bible Study

On Wednesdays, we provide a meal at 6:00.  The purpose is to make it easy to come on Wednesday evenings without having to worry about meal preparation and to provide a time for us to get to know each other.  We ask for a $2 per person donation to cover the costs, except for guests who eat free!  At 7:00 we have a brief time of worship and then have classes for all ages.

Our classes and times of worship are relatively informal and very welcoming in a friendly and family-centered environment.  You will always be warmly welcomed here!
