Ken Butler

Ken grew up in Mesquite, until his family relocated, and graduated from Midlothian High School. He earned his Associate’s degree from Trinity Valley Community College in Athens, Texas. He then received a Bachelor’s degree in Biblical Studies from Abilene Christian University. He also holds a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

Ken and his wife, Danetta, were married in 1996. They have two sons: C.J. & his wife Lindsey; and Grayson. They have been members of this congregation since February 2017 when he began serving as a youth-worship minister. Ken has a passion and gift for leading God’s people in worship as well as a heart for helping develop worship leaders to glorify God. 

Ken, Danetta, and their family have served with congregations in Monroe, Louisiana as well as Waco, Mineral Wells, and Palestine, Texas through his role as a youth & family and/or worship minister. He has also volunteered as a worship leader for many congregations in Texas while performing his duties as an educator and coach.
